Gone But Never Forgotten

Cinder

???-October 8, 2007

Cinder was my first dog who I rescued from the pound. I had always dreamed of owning a dog and when I saw her at the pound, I knew she was the one. I visited her everyday until she was put up for adoption and the day she became available, I adopted her.

Cinder provided us with 10 1/2 years of loyal companionship and she was approximately 14 1/2 when she left us. She was a spunky dog with such great spirit she had to the very end. She was a survivor as a stray and the toughest, scrappiest little dog I've ever met.

Good bye my old friend, you were a dream come true!

December 3, 1998 - December 7, 2006

Everyone says your first show dog is not your best. Pharaoh was the exception to that rule. He had the best personality, best presence and most of all, he was our best friend.

He was the ambassador of Eclipse Kennels. Everyone who visited or knew Pharaoh loved him. Puppy buyers often commented they wanted a puppy, "Just like Pharaoh

He was happy-go-lucky, silly at times, but always had that regal air about him. He was the pillar of Eclipse Kennels and although it was hard to say goodbye, his spirit lives on.

Farewell "Man," and thank you for always making us smile.

Henley

September 12, 2003 - October 25, 2003

With a very heavy heart, we said goodbye to our little girl, Henley.

She wasn't with us long, but every day was special.  As we held her to herlast breath, she kissed us both. Even the weakest hearts can give so much love.

Goodbye sweet girl, until we meet again...

Lilly

She fought against all odds, a true survivor from the beginning. She stole the hearts of everyone who met her. Her time came too soon and we thank Erik for giving her a chance and a wonderful life!

Eclipse's Howitzer "Howie"

August 6, 2009 - December 2, 2010

Eclipse's Howitzer was a wonderful dog that was full of life. His life was ended way too early due to being struck by a car. Howie will be missed by Eclipse and his co-owners Susan and John.

November 27, 2007 - February 1, 2011

Feb. 1, 2011 was a very sad day at Eclipse when we had to say goodbye to our boy Polar. Polar was an incredible dog, a very big goof with a heart of gold. He was known for his show ring antics which included carrying ribbons he won out of the ring in his mouth and sometimes carrying his handler around the ring with his wildness. He was a fun-loving dog that loved life who reminded us a lot of his great-great grand sire Pharaoh.

Just days before his death I frolicked with him in the snow, a game he loved to play. He made Mike and I laugh at how excited he got with his play bows and running around. If I only knew it would be the last time. Rest in peace Polar Man, you'll be sorely missed.

May 5, 2004 - February 8, 2011

On February 8, 2011, Cherie had to say goodbye to TT. She wrote the following "I'm writing this through tears that have gone on since early afternoon. We had to say goodbye to TT today. One of the toughest decisions I've had to make in a long time. TT injured himself last spring, twisted his back severly. We got him back on his feet but he has had ongoing problems since then. Two weeks ago he was out in the yard with the girls, playing and wrestling the way they do and by the next morning could not use his front leg and rear was extremly weak. We have been carrying him in and out now for these last 2 weeks, but this morning even with his medication the pain was noticable. His eyes told me it was time.

Thank you Donna and Mike for the privilege of having this wonderful boy in our home. He was truly an excellent representative of the WGSD. He took pieces of many hearts with him today but he will never be forgotten! He is not gone, he is "Only Away"".
